I Vote For Ina

Now there's someone we could all support...

I’m getting antsy for Ina to come back with new shows. I can’t find a straight answer anywhere as to when exactly The Barefoot Contessa will be back, except “Catch Ina Sundays at 10am/9c. Look for all new episodes of Barefoot Contessa coming this fall!” on the Food Network website. As far as her current schedule goes, if 10 am on Sunday means 5 pm on Monday through Friday, then they’re correct, otherwise they’re not!

The Food Network television schedule isn’t complete for the end for October and there are empty blocks of time on Saturday afternoon, so hopefully we’ll be enjoying her at her usual time.

The Barefoot One does have a new book, Back to Basics, coming out on October 28th, so I guess the show may coincide with that, but I hope we don’t have to wait that long. Incidentally, you can order a signed copy (Ina will actually write your first name!) from her website for $35, or from Amazon (unsigned) for $23.10 ($27.09 with shipping). Plus she’ll be all over the place doing book signings.

One more tidbit – YOU and I can be on the Barefoot Contessa!!! Really! Ina is doing a special on Thanksgiving desserts and she’s soliciting video questions. Check here for details. Actually, you can ask your video questions of any Food Network host you choose. Here are some folks that beat you to it.

I do have a few questions I’d love to ask Ina:
How do I get an invitation to dinner?
May I pay you to be your friend?
Could we share Jeffrey?
Will you be my mother?
daughter?
Please don’t get the restraining order just yet…

I would love a signed copy of her cookbook! That's not expensive at all.

What would you do if you spotted her walking down the street?

Hi Em,
Now you know where to get one.

If I saw Ina, after I stopped sputtering and swearing OMG, OMG, OMG, I would go right up to her and say, Ina, you are my hero, my queen, my everything. PLEASE could you sign my arm and I'll get a tattoo there to keep you with me for all times.

I'm with you about Ina. Love her. Although I'd like more episodes from her, I also like the fact that she chooses to have a life and not get overexposed like a lot of other FN stars. It leaves you wanting more of her (instead of less). And your questions for Ina took the words right out of my mouth.
