Cookbook Giveaway Results And New Cookbook Giveaway

And the two winners (picked by random.org) are…

Anna Dalziel and Deb Wilson.

Anna sent in pictures of her cookbook shelf and all the Silver Palate Cookbooks that she loves.

She wins The Scandinavian Cookbook by Trina Hahnemann.

Deb also sent in pictures. Her favorite cookbook is a book that she herself put together of her mother's recipe cards. She added lots of family pictures and made copies for her family members. It's such a great idea. I love it.

She wins The Spice Kitchen by Katie Luber and Sara Engram.

Congratulations to the winners and thanks so much to everyone for entering.

Sue ~ this was SO much fun. I don't want to sound sappy but other than a 40.00 PA. Lottery ticket win way back in late 1970's (which I split with my then boyfriend)- I have never won anything !! If my Phillies couldn't catch a World Series win, this is a close second!! Thanks a bunch.

Hi DC,
My pleasure! Thanks for sending those great pictures. I loved the idea of putting the recipe cards together in a cookbook.

And, yeah, there were some pretty unhappy campers in my house too!

Anna,
Welcome! The Silver Palate Cookbook (and the others) are classics. I also love cooking from them.

Please enjoy the book. It's a beautiful one.

You're SO welcome!

The last time I bought cookbooks I bought one for myself and another for a gift. A whole book of cooking with Chocolate for me and cooking with Garfield for my older brother. Even though he is over 30 he still loves Garfield so I thought it would be a great little "I was thinking about you" gift:)

Hiya NN,
Thanks for the entry. That's sweet about your brother. What do you think it means when MY brother once gave ME a Twinkie Cookbook?

The last cookbook I bought was Ina's newest one. Back to Basics. I think I justified it by calling it a mother's day present from my dog... Do you need a picture too?

Sue said...

Good choice, Sheila! Nope, no pictures this week.

That's one sweet dog. Maybe next time he or she could bestow on you a little bauble in a tiny blue box...

I think my dog should get a job! That sounds like a fantastic idea!

Can you spot the bottle of creme de cassis from 2006? Purchased that with my dad when I turned twenty-one.

This is fun. I want to play again. It's due tomorrow? I better hurry.
