Yes, THAT Adam Gertler! The Food Network loved The Next Food Network Star finalist so much that he's hosting a new show called Will Work for Food.
As Bob Tuschman explained: "He earned millions of fans across the country who have let us know that we have a second star in our midst." (This isn’t the first time so many have been wrong about so much.)
Adam will take on different food-related jobs each week. They will include shark feeder and potato chip inspector. I wonder if any of his challenges will involve cooking. Probably not.
This show sounds like a redo of occasional segments that Good Morning America did a few years ago. They had a goofy likable guy take on different jobs…INCLUDING Potato Chip Inspector!
The bad news is that we have to wait until September 30 for it to premiere. The good news is that I’ll be washing my hair that night.

Oh, you have to admit he will probably be good in this type of show. But I think Ham on the Street did some of that too.
It almost sounds to me like this guy needed a TV career more than he needed a cooking career. I suppose if he has the chops for one and not the other, this is a perfect match for him.
It sounds like an intriguiging idea. I would definitely watch it ans see if it was any good.
Hi Amy,
Well, yes, I suppose, he'll be perfectly fine wearing a shower cap and peering at potato chips. But I still don't have to like him...
Hi Rach,
Adam sure needed something, I'm just not so sure that we needed HIM on a Food Network show, but, okay, maybe I'm being too surly. After all, at least, they don't have him cooking.
This doesn't seem quite fair for the winner of the show.
But as long as everybody is happy...
There's plenty of TV time for everyone.
Hey Em,
Yeah!!!
I DO watch far too much garbage on television (and I'm not even talking about the Neelys). I just don't feel that I need one more pointless, unnecessary, not good for anything show...I have The Hills for that.
I've just finished my weekly reading of FNM and I laughed, nodded and shook my head.
You're a hoot!
Hi Cyn,
Thank you!
