My all time favorite is The Fanny Farmer Cookbook, Eleventh edition, C 1965. I have hundreds of cookbooks, but this is the one that I refer to over and over again for the basic, classic version of any recipe. I've owned this book since 1969 and it was my first real "grown up" cookbook.
