Let's Concentrate On What's Important

Listen, folks, we all have a lot of Thanksgiving cooking to do. Let's not engage in idle gossip and rumor-mongering about Rachael Ray's marriage. You know that I'm not an RR fan, but even I feel badly that because this nonsense has gone on for sooooo long, she felt she had to address it on her show. Let's concentrate on what's important and talk about HOW BAD HER RECIPES ARE!!!

I have nothing against her personally. I think she's a great talk show host, a hard worker, a good daughter...blah blah blah, but her food is awful. So the next time you're tempted to blab about her marriage, change it to a belly ache (literally) about her meatballs and then we'll have something to talk about.

I always say there is a plenty of stuff to snark on Rachael Ray (her nasty food, her annoying personality, her lack of on-camera talent, her tendency to talk over and interuppt guests on her show, her repetetive and inconsisten stories) without having to snark on her marriage. It's one thing I've never done in all of my many FN critiques is make any comment about the personal lives of the personalities on that show. It's none of my business.

But I do have to say if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Any celebrity is going to be at risk of becoming tabloid fodder. The more you put yourself out there, the more people are going to want to know about you and the more tabloids will feed off of that want. Rachael Ray has put herself out there in a big way and while the NE is being absolutely awful to her right now, she had better get used to it. IT will continue until her 30 minutes are up.

Very well said indeed. I am so tired of the bandwagon of hate. It is fine if you don't like someone's food, just don't use that to talk crap about their life.

Shortie,
That's true you haven't done that. And I guess as long as she is in the limelight, folks will continue to talk about EVERY aspect of her life.

But what I don't like is that there's SO MUCH to object to in her cooking that that should be more than enough. I would just love a headline to read Rachael Ray Burns Garlic Bread Again!!! or Rachael Ray Bastardizes A Poor Chicken!!!

Hi Jenn,

Right on! Instead of talking about her husband, let's talk about how she would add ground beef to a "donut", if she could.
