Twinkie Lovers Of The World Unite!

Could it be that our health conscious lifestyles may actually force Twinkies to go out of business? Gosh, I hope not.

I have to say I probably haven't bought any in over 10 years, but just the idea of a world without Twinkies bothers me. This article may have scared me into the middle shelf of the snack aisle more regularly than every decade.

It turns out that it's not only because of health concerns that Twinkies are in jeopardy. There are apparently union issues to be worked out. I think the workers should just be given a case of Twinkies a day (in addition to a fair wage and decent health benefits, of course) and everyone will be happy.

Let's hope for a peaceful world, where Twinkies can coexist with healthy lifestyles, union workers and shareholders alike!

For a moment, I thought you e mentioning about those colorful chocolate candy. I think it's twinkers or something like that.. Actually, I love these shortcakes and am guilty as ever. Fruity

Oh, no, Fruity, I was talking about Twinkies. And they are delectable, even if it is like eating cotton wool stuffed with shaving cream - of course, I'm talking about the texture, not the taste.

I'm going to tell you something you might shock you:
I've never had a Twinkie.

My mom would always buy Little Debbie stuff. I have an idea what they taste like. Little Debbie is just about the same.

This is gross:

I can't believe how many recipes they have.

Em,

First of all, Little Debbie is crap. Twinkies are legitimate Americana. You go get yourself some!

Now, this is REALLY funny. I went to the link you included. That Sushi Twinkie recipe was totally gross and it said it was from someone named Clare Crespo. I yahoo-ed her and I found her listed with The Twinkies Cookbook, which looked eerily familiar. I hunted around my house AND I ACTUALLY OWN THAT "COOKBOOK"!!!I think it was a joke present from my brother with the Spam cookbook.

There is a Chicken Twinkie Salad in there as well as Pigs in a Twinkie. There are some sick bastards in the world...Even though I do happen to think Twinkiehenge is a brilliant idea.
