Frankly, the fennel doesn't help either. These are the 5 spices: star anise, cinnamon, fennel, cloves, and Szechwan peppercorns.Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02284023935180677683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1134384403689315687.post-43343285582928009832008-02-20T17:36:00.000-05:002008-02-20T17:36:00.000-05:00Hi Sue, I've been reading here for about 6 months ...Hi Sue, I've been reading here for about 6 months . . . one of my favorite blogs. Never posted but had to chime in on this post. Philly is my hometown - live just outside city and loved reading about Buddakan - great review! Haven't been yet but now will plan to. And yes agree - five spice powder is nasty, very overpowering (is it the star anise that puts it over the top?)DebCarolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07346937643590111586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1134384403689315687.post-36460240650110380772008-02-20T11:24:00.000-05:002008-02-20T11:24:00.000-05:00You're on, kid. Next time I'll go with you.

Five spice powder...I don't think I'm crazy about it, but it's hard to say. I think mine is about 5 years old. At least. I don't ever use it.Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17204776831565649927noreply@blogger.com
